As 2024 draws to a close, Roadway Traffic Management (Roadway TM) celebrates a year marked by growth, innovation, and success. From advancements in technology to strengthening its leadership team and securing significant contract wins, Roadway TM has cemented its position as a leader in the traffic management industry.
Here’s a look back at the key achievements that defined the company’s year.
Pioneering Technology: The Launch of RW Centro…
In 2024, Roadway TM modernised its operations with the launch of the RW Centro App. This innovative platform replaced paper-based processes with a fully digital system, streamlining administrative tasks, improving operational efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.
The app offers tools for real-time vehicle checks, near-miss reporting, and defect logging, empowering operatives to perform their roles more safely and efficiently.

Integration of Advanced Technology
Roadway TM demonstrated its forward-thinking approach by integrating the TGS Metro System into its operations. Installed at a busy junction in Grantham, this adaptive traffic signal system optimised vehicular flow and enhanced pedestrian safety, showcasing how technology can address complex traffic challenges.

Strengthening the Fleet
This year also saw significant investments in the company’s fleet, including the addition of a £160,000 DAF 18T IPV, built by BT-HS in early December.
This state-of-the-art vehicle, equipped with a Scorpion crash cushion, advanced LED lighting boards, and a CCTV system, enhances safety and operational effectiveness across Roadway TM’s projects.
That was in addition to multiple new vehicles just a month prior, when another £160,000 was invested.
This year, Roadway has boosted its fleet with 17 new vehicles, at an investment of almost £1m.
These investments underscore the company’s dedication to providing its team with the best resources while delivering exceptional service to its clients.

Securing Major Contracts
A standout moment of 2024 was the successful renewal of Roadway TM’s five-year contract with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC).
As the sole traffic management provider for ERYC since 2020, this extension through 2030 reflects the trust and confidence clients place in Roadway TM’s expertise and reliability.
Strengthening Leadership
Roadway TM’s leadership team was bolstered late in 2024, with the promotion of Karl Ashcroft to Operations Director and Mark Baskerville to Commercial Director. Karl, with over 10 years at the company, and Mark, who has been a vital part of the team for seven years, bring exceptional expertise and commitment to their roles.
These appointments position Roadway TM to achieve its ambitious 2025 growth targets and continue its trajectory of innovation and excellence in the years ahead.
Looking Ahead…
As 2024 concludes, Roadway TM reflects on a year of significant milestones and prepares to build on these successes in 2025.
The company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and client satisfaction remains at the forefront as it continues to deliver high-quality traffic management solutions across the UK.
